East Timor Exhibition
Last Friday nite, the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, saw the East Timor Photographs UP and working their magic. His excellency Jorge Teme, Ambassador for East Timor, did the honours. “..we can chose our friends, but we cannot chose our neighbours..”What am absolutely wonderfull nite, with over 100 people. My thanks to Jennifer Lamb, Kirsten and Janine, who all helped produce the show.It’s TIMORS oil! for heavens sake. Here are the Millers, with the Ambassador. Rosemarry Miller taught the Ambassador English over 15 years ago!

Wombeyan International Photo Festival
Here participant photographers feed up for the marathon ahead. What a most magical nite in Queen Victorias arch, with the moon peeking thru, and the odd bat gliding in from between the staglitites. Congrats to all paticipants, and especially to our honoured guest and fellow exhibitor Robert McFarlane. The most wonderfull of nites. See you all NEXT year for WIPF.

Re-conciliation
Here above Bowral, local elder Val Muchay and Dave Ball, dicuss the installation of a memorial to those first Aboriginal guides that so welcomed the 1st Europeans to the Wingecarribee district.It was near here in 1828 that Moyengully, of the Natti band, bargained good naturedly over a pair of trousers, with Major Mitchell, the government surveyor general.If they could see it now?

To Sydney where one was suprized by B.Hensons’ “advertizing” images about town (Gucci? Calvin Klein?) Trent Parks’ show (ACP) skims, and gives one the sense of alcohol abuse and violence which can be found ANYWHERE in Australia. These images had little compassion..well observed, but never “involved”..a skim.Meanwhile the Wombeyan International Photo Festival gathers momentum.More on that latter…
