Will finish this “post”with some snaps of the people I met on this trip. Mostly Polynesian on Nukumano. A mixture of peoples both Melanesian and Polynesian on Mortlocks The Catarats were peopled from Melanesian Buka. Included is the weathered face of Paramont Chief Kipano (Nuku), a wonderfull old tortoise shell jewelller (Mortlocks- “go back long Queen Emma!”) and a little boy (with cross) from The Catarats who’d swum out to the ship! Em tasol. Lukim yu!
